Why Women Live Longer than Men

It is a funny look at guys and how we do things. After looking at these it will give you no doubt that most women will live longer than men (well at least longer than the guys in these photos).

Snake Massage at Israeli Spa

An Israeli health and beauty spa is offering a new service for its customers - a snake massage. The treatment consists of six non-venomous snakes massaging the client's aching muscles and joints for $70.

Located in northern Israel, Ada Barak's spa uses California and Florida king snakes, corn snakes and milk snakes for the massage.

Barak believes that physical contact with the reptiles can be a soothing experience. She says that she was inspired by her belief that once people get over any initial misgivings, they find physical contact with the snakes to be soothing.

Dan Witz Show Night Painting

Dan Witz
Night Paintings
02.10.08 - 19.10.08
StolenSpace are pleased to present New York based artist Dan Witz 2nd London solo exhibition, showcasing a new body of oil paintings on canvas.

As a legendary street artist, Dan Witz lends wit, color, and grace to New York City. As a painter, he seduces outsiders into his oil painted worlds. His early influences were a mixture of punk rebellion, culture jamming and the scary urban blight of New York in the early eighties. As a painter, technically he has always been fascinated by old master techniques of simulating reality.

In the 1980s, Witz was also a musician involved in the downtown art-punk scene. He currently lives in Brooklyn and splits his time between making gallery paintings and street art. Witz started doing street art when he moved to New York City in the late 1970’s. “I’ve put up some kind of anonymous un-permitted outdoor work every summer since. The intention behind my projects has been varied - aesthetic, socio political, and personal – but the motivation has always been to get out of the studio and have fun while making work that’s direct and uncompromised.”

Also featured in this show will be Witz’s infamous Humming Birds. ‘The Birds Of Manhattan’ was his first large-scale street art project. In 1979 Witz painted over 40 humming birds in lower Manhattan.

Dan Witz is arguably the Godfather of Street Art and this, his 2nd solo show with StolenSpace, is deserving of the attention it is gathering.
